Blade Guard® 10-inch Locking Knife Blade Protector

Protect Every Knife Blade in Your Kit. Blade Guard 10-Inch Locking Knife Blade Protector. Protect compatible longer chef's knives, carving knives, bread knives, slicers, and other long kitchen blades with the Blade Guard™ 10-Inch Locking Knife Blade Protector. Designed for compatible blades up to 10 inches long, this fully enclosed protector helps keep sharp knife edges covered during everyday storage and transport. Longer kitchen knives are useful for slicing large cuts of meat, carving roasts, preparing bigger ingredients, and handling food-preparation tasks that benefit from extended blade length. But when these knives are stored in drawers, packed into knife rolls, or transported between cooking locations, their exposed edges can come into contact with surrounding utensils and equipment. Unlike conventional open-top or slide-in knife sheaths that rely on friction alone, Blade Guard features a hinged construction with secure locking tabs and internal rubber blade stops that help keep a properly fitted knife positioned inside the protector. Whether you're organizing a home kitchen, transporting culinary equipment, preparing food for a family gathering, or packing cooking supplies for an RV or campsite, the 10-inch Blade Guard provides practical edge protection for compatible longer knives. Made from BPA-free polypropylene, Blade Guard features a frosted, translucent body that allows you to identify the enclosed knife without opening the protector. Its dishwasher-safe construction makes cleaning convenient after everyday use. “At first I thought it was bulky to carry. As soon as I closed it over the knife and heard it snap closed — I was hooked. — Capt. Colin McCarthy, Living on Island Time Fish Charter. ⚠️ Why locking matters: Open-top guards rely on friction to stay on. In a tackle bag, cooler, or RV drawer, that friction can fail when the knife shifts or gets jostled. The Blade Guard™ locking tabs — backed by two rubber stops — keep the blade fully enclosed under pressure, vibration, and movement.
