Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for work and casual wear Love these jeans. The fabric is sturdy yet wonderfully soft. I work five days a week in a large cheese shop so these pants get a workout--bending, scrubbing, loading and unloading runners, climbing ladders in a cold walk-in cooler and walking with customers to make product selections--yet they always look professional and never lose their fit. I wear a clean pair each day, so I bought another 5 pairs to replace the last set, which were two years old and naturally getting a bit faded. Turn them inside out before washing/rinsing in cool water, and dry on perma-press setting.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I will not buy this product again. I have purchased many many many pairs of these jeans when they were the old Monroe fit. Now the crotch is too long. I held the new ones which are the same size as the old ones up to the old ones and the crotch is about three inches longer on each side ( front and back ). I used to love them and recommended them to other people. I think they are awful now. I don't need to pin the waist to my bra. Please bring the old Monroe sizing back. You might as well call the high rise waist.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too much polyester, too little cotton! They're okay jeans. I've worn them twice now and they seem to stretch a bit too much in the waist. They were just right after the first wearing but by the second, they already felt a little too loose! To me, jeans should NOT have more than 10% polyester. I was lucky once...I had a pair of jeans that had 12% polyester (lycra and/or spandex, or whatever it was), and they wore perfectly for years! These replaced those because mine just wore out. Because of the excessive "stretchiness", I don't think these will last a couple of years. I'm old-fashioned, I guess...I miss the days of 100% cotton denim jeans!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from happy then disappointed Finding a good fit in jeans is challenging. Last year when I discovered the classic fit monroe straight leg jean (size 16S) I was thrilled. I have two pair that are my absolute favorite jeans. Many washings, still just fine. I wanted to buy more this year and was quite disappointed to discover that I cannot duplicate my two favorite pairs. The "new" ones are not the same. The fit is different, noticeably larger. The material is also different, noticeably thinner. I don't understand why a company like Lee would cheapen and change their product this way.
