Rated 5 out of 5 by from Softest sheet set Love these sheets! At first I bought just the pillowcases to supplement my current sheets and they were the softest, most comfy thing I had laid my head on! I had to come back and pick up the whole sheet set! They did not disappoint. I don't normally like sateen as ya sometimes feel like you are sliding out of bed. Not these! The sateen just adds an extra bit of softness. I got the white and it is a true white. If you are on the fence, don't wait!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed In Texture & Feel Can't believe I chose these based on the availability of extra pillowcases plus they had a decent price. Wish I had invested a bit more money and gone with a higher priced item. For a 300 thread count I was expecting a smooth feel but these sheets have an odd nubby quality -- possibly because short-staple instead of long-staple fibers were used. I've found these sheets uncomfortable next to the skin and nearly intolerable when the weather is hot. (On a warm night, you can't roll over to a cool spot and have these sheets feel soothing, they have the same vaguely prickly quality.) I have my doubts as to whether the fiber content is actually 100% Egyptian cotton because (1) there was a bit of lint after the first wash and (2) they come from China where truth in labeling seems to be hopeful and not mandatory. I have gone back and forth about returning them -- in part, I don't feel right about returning an item I have been using. After a couple washes, the fabric does seems to be softening up (a characteristic of Egyptian cotton) but I believe these sheets will always have a limp surface quality and persistence to wrinkling as others have noted. All things being equal, I would never purchase again. Next time I will insist on the sateen-finish and smooth-to-the-skin feel that I wanted in the first place and hang the extra pillowcases.
