Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ruined several of my work shirts I've never written a product review before, but was so disappointed in this product that I had to write one. I don't know if this is a common problem or not, but my iron constantly develops this black residue on the surface almost every time we iron. Sometimes during ironing this residue would start to build up, and it has ruined several of my work dress shirts because the residue gets on the shirt and doesn't come off. The iron seems to always stick to clothes as well. We have to clean the iron several times during each use, and scrap off the residue that builds up. Very disappointed in this product as I have several other Black and Decker products that work great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Painful to use!! Bought this iron when my current B&D iron (LOVE!) started having issues. It lasted another year (Woohoo!) but finally died and I brought this one out. I wasn't 5 minutes into ironing a dress when the ridges on the "Comfort Grip" handle were digging into my hand! Finally wrapped a cloth around the handle to finish the dress. See photo. Probably can't return it with a year old receipt so I guess it goes to the thrift shop. Too bad. It performed wonderfully and I will get another B&D to replace. Whoever designed this handle obviously never used it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The auto-shut off broke, making the iron useless I bought this iron about a year ago and it was working fine until a couple of weeks ago. After a few moments of the iron turning on, the auto shut off function suddenly turns on, the light starts blinking, and the iron turns off, without ever have reaching a hot enough temperature to remove any wrinkles. I have to keep plugging the iron in and out for it to even get warm, and by the time it gets warm, it shuts off again. This process wastes several minutes out of of my morning and is also very frustrating. I refuse to repurchase an iron after only having it for a year. I Googled and tried to find a solution for over an hour which proved unsuccessful. Very frustrating.
