Rated 2 out of 5 by Cleans great, but hard to clean. I have had this product for several years and was checking on line to see if there had been any improvements to the design. The concept of this little machine is great and it does a nice job of lifting hairball stains. But it is not easy to clean, and nearly impossible to sanitize. The reservoir has only a couple of small holes to empty and rinse through. The front suction area is too narrow to get inside and clean. Dirty water gets trapped inside various bits and parts. Let's face it, most stains we are cleaning up are of the "icky" variety; stuff that generally requires some sanitation afterwards. So dirty water trapped inside, or parts that you cannot fully disassemble to clean are not pleasant to think about. 03/10/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pleasantly surprised Entitled surprised as it didn't cost much and it worked very effectively. Having just cleaned my carpets, my dog threw up on the carpet. Apparently she'd been eating significant amount of grass, leaving quite the stain. Pre-treated with nature's miracle, I mixed the solution and began using this little cleaner without reading any instructions(very simple/intuitive). The bristle brush broke the stain free while the vacuum sucked up the remains(solution/stain). For the price of renting the carpet cleaner again, with all the hassle that entails, I took a chance and bought this little cleaner. Glad I did as I now have something I can use down the road. 06/05/2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Gets the job done. Overall for the money a pretty good machine. One thing I found out is you better empty the collection tank after every use. I use this vac exclusively to clean up my dogs urine when they go on the carpet. I left the urine water in the collection tank go for a couple of uses and the third time I went to use it the smell stunk up the whole house. After taking the tanks out and examining the insides is when I seen that the collection tank was leaking where it pushes into the two holes inside the unit. This leakage was making its way into the motor compartment and getting blown out the vents when you turned it on. It wasn't like the collection tank was full either. After using it one time and taking the collection tank out to empty it I notice leakage running down the inside of the machine. This needs to have a better seal. (o-rings or something). Aside from that not a bad little machine. 03/15/2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Where's the suction? I can't get this machine to draw up the water left on the carpet. It seems quite a few people have had the same problem. I've gone to the Bissell customer support section and checked everything they recommended. Still I cannot seem to achieve the proper angle that will suck up the cleaning solution. If you ask me, this little machine it dreadfully overengineered. My simple previous machine was quite handy. This one has features in the collection tank to prevent overfilling, but I can't ever imagine being able to draw up enough water to overfill it. It has brushes to dislodge the soil, but that sits on the carpet for lack of suction. I would return but it's past that date. 07/23/2014
