I generally wear anywhere from a 12P to 16P depending on the country where it's made. I bought the black jeans made in Sri Lanka in 14P they were too tight in the upper leg but fit the waist perfectly. I took them back to exchange for a 16P and couldn't get the waist fastened. Got a pair made in Jordan and they have a lovely fit but I had to go with a burgundy color, no black! Got another pair of regular jeans made in Jordan and they slid up beautifully, but tight in the knees. LOL - Starting to look at Lee jeans, but they have some of their own problems too. SMH, I may just go to a different kind of pant.

I have been buying Gloria Vanderbilt jeans since the 1970's, and the brand still offers a superior fit through the hips and waist; now the jeans also come in great colors, like this pair, and petite sizes in different lengths. I am 5' 4" and find that the average petite fit perfectly, being long enough through the stride and short enough in the inseam.

I'm a 63 year old who loves jeans. After wearing Levis for many years, I am totally sold on Gloria Vanderbilt. The Amanda soft touch jeans are so comfortable and they wash beautifully. I don't like flared or extremely skinny jeans, but these jeans are perfect on my legs. I usually buy them online as I wear a petite size and they are usually unavailable in the store. Also the color selection is a plus.
