Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works, but not great If you are looking for a cheap dvd player, this is the one for you. We bought this for my son's room and he watches movies constantly, sometimes two a day. If you plan to use for things like that I would suggest getting one of much higher quality. This one is great, but it freezes a lot, randomly quits working, and to get it to shut off, you have to unplug it from the wall. If you have patience, its great. But when a two year old wants to watch Mickey Mouse at that instant, it gets a little frustrating. Also, the plug that comes with it snapped within 5 minutes so we had to get a whole new cord for it to work.

Since I have a TV in the wall over my fireplace, I was hoping to have a small dvd player that would not take up a lot of room and sit just under the TV. The size was great but it was worthless. It made a loud noise when the DVD was put in, then we couldn't get it to play or open to retrieve the movie. Had to unplug and replug to get the movie out. After trying several DVDs, we gave up. I'm returning it tomorrow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer beware When it's turned on it makes a continuous rather loud high pitched humming sound. We placed it on a shelf below our TV. When the TV was turned on, using the TV remote, the DVD player also turned on and stayed on even when the power button on the DVD player was pushed to turn it off. So now the DVD player has to stay unplugged from the wall and re-plugged back in when using it. *Kohls has a 30 day return policy for electronics from date of purchase/online order.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not purchase again I bought this on 11/22/16. We've only used it maybe 4-6 times since we purchased it. This weekend when we began to watch a DVD after just a few minutes it made a grinding noise and stopped reading the disc. We tried multiple things to troubleshoot the issue but nothing worked. The screen on the TV kept showing "no disc" even though there was a disc in. I attempted to return the item to Kohl's today but unfortunately they have a 30-day return policy on electronics. I then called GPX and they attempted to fix the problem over the phone but I didn't feel that it was a logical fix (and turns out it didn't help). He said the item has a 90-day warranty...and of course we were past that date. He offered to send me a new DVD player for $20. I said no thank you!! I would not purchase this again and will be leery of other GPX products.
