Perfect 1st Birthday Gift
Bought this for my grandsons 1st birthday yesterday. So far my daughter said he's gone to sleep with Scout the past two nights cuddled up to his puppy while it plays bedtime nursery rhymes. She's ecstatic because he normally wants to play around until he falls asleep. But not with Scout. My daughter said he just lays down and goes to sleep, even without his pacifier!! Highly recommend! My oldest granddaughter programmed it right away with his name and favorite foods etc... He here's Scout say his name and I guess he's grown very attached to his puppy. Nana always knows best! Ha ha!!

Lack of features on the new one is disappointing
I have four children and each of them have a Scout or Violet. We were so excited to get one for our fourth child until today when I went to personalize it and realized that it has been seriously down graded. My older kids loved selecting songs and now there is ZERO choice. You get what you get and nothing more. Being able to personalize the name, favorite food, color, and animal is great but losing the song selection is HUGE disappointment. Also, the lose of a buttons on the stomach is another downgrade that is disappointing. I don't understand why they took away some of the best features and gave us a cut rate toy at the same price.

Newer version is a disappointment - less features
I bought a number of Scouts and Violets for my nieces, nephews and friend's children. When I bought one for my daughter, it is the "updated" version. I got it home and was surprised (not in a good way) that the only thing that can be customized is the name of the child. The older versions had the ability to choose a wide selection of songs. The new version you get the few songs that are loaded on it and no more. Major disappointment and in two months my daughter is already getting bored with the lack of variety. My niece and nephews were entertained for years with the older version as the songs could be updated as they grew. Steer clear of the new version. It's a major disappointment!

Her favorite animal is a goat!
I was really surprised with all the personalization options! Luckily my daughter's shortened name is Ella so I was able to select that one. She absolutely loves this little puppy and kisses it all the time. As she gets older, I will be able to let her help me choose the songs! I also really liked that they had Christmas songs to choose since it's the season.
Super soft, fun and friendly voice, a really great toy for a special toddler.
**It also plays 2,5, or 10 minutes of lullabies for bed time. It turns off automatically when the songs are done. Great for night night time.
