Rated 5 out of 5 by from The double handle feature for ease in lifting this cast iron skillet won me over! I have been needing a pan that can go into the oven for browning after stovetop cooking. I've shied away from cast iron in the past due to rusting tendencies, but no issues with that thus far. It cleans up easily, too. I just give it a wipe-down with an oiled paper towel after washing, and it's good to go for the next meal. I'm so glad to have this handy addition to my cookware collection!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great skillet I love using this to make biscuits and rolls in. It's also perfect for searing protein on the stove and finishing it in the oven. We plan on trying out steaks on it this weekend. It's much heavier than I expected so its kind of awkward to clean. I have just been going slow, wiping it really dry and then rubbing it lightly with vegetable oil before I put it away. Great purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pan!! I was very excited for my cast iron pan to arrive! I immediately got to cooking and my favorite option for such a pan is a hamburger! It was very even cooking and made my burger delicious!! I also sautéed some fresh veggies and the flavor was spectacular! It gives a nice little char that I like on my zucchini! Great pan! Highly recommend!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the pan I was expecting This Food Network pre-seasoned cast iron skillet was not what I was expecting. First, the pan is very heavy and the handle feels to small for the weight. The finish is very rough which causes problems, and lastly it does not appear to heat evenly. I made eggs the other day and they were cooking at different rates within the pan. I found the same result cooking burgers. The directions also left out a very important step when caring for the pan. I have old cast iron, and I use it all the time, so I am versed in caring for cast iron. The finish is so rough that you leave bits of paper towel in the pan when wiping out risidual oil. I even tried using a micro fiber cloth and it grabed fibers from that as well. In the directions they say to dry the pan on heat and wipe it with oil once dry. They left out the part - you need to then heat the pan again until it is smoking to avoid the oil turning rancid. A longer or wider handle would help balance the pan in your hand.
