Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very disapointed Not impressed at all. I've never had a cast iron skillet with a textured bottom & interior sides, everything sticks to it & it's difficult to clean & dry. The sides are too shallow. I should have just returned it when I opened it, but thought I'd give it a try. I DO NOT LIKE IT AT ALL!! It will probably sit in the cabinet & collect dust. A friend of ours found an old one at a flee market. It had been cleaned up & is very similar to the one I lost in our move. This one is much better quality, smooth interior & deeper sides.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from doesnt radiat heat very well i purchased this pan as i needed a larger cast iron i have a small cast iron that was my grandmothers very very old. i love cast iron so i figured i would buy a large one and was sadly disappointed. the pan doesn't radiate heat unless the meat is in the center of the pan you will not get any sear on the meat. total waste.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cast iron skillet has very ROUGH surfaces After following the instructions for preparation of the iron skillet, I found 2 issues with the skillet. 1) the bottom of the skillet was VERY ROUGH which could scratch my stove and countertop surfaces. 2) from the 1st use, after wiping out the remaining stuff from cooking, I couldn't get all of the food off. I followed the instructions and used salt to try to scrape the remaining food out, but it was EXTREMELY difficult. I then put the pan on the counter and it came in contact with a FEW DROPS OF WATER - causing it to immediately rust!!! I would not cook with a pot that can generate RUST SO QUICKLY and easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I ABSOLUTELY love this pan. NEVER use any soap EVER on a cast iron skillet. Season it every time after use. Oil it, leave it on the lowest heat . Never leave it to air dry and not season. I see all these reviews that are not my experience and I believe you have to know how to treat your pan so you will be really happy with it. I use it multiple times a week and I've had it for a year and a half. I LOVE THIS PAN, it is fabulous and HEAVY.
