Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not liking the changes made I have been wearing 501 Shrink to Fit sense i was 5 years old i am now 58 years old. I just bought a couple of pair and i noticed they were much thinner and no more double stitching on the inseam and the hem on bottom legs were much shorter. The fit is also not the same as they have been in the past. I think it is because levi has decided to sacrifice quality over profit margins and corporate greed .It is too bad to see such an icon go down this path. If I can get the old quality i would gladly pay for it. PS is there still some old style 501 shrink to fit, if so i would like to buy them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lacking quality I love the fit of the 501 original shrink-to-fit jeans. However, over the past two weeks I've bought two separate pairs and upon following the drying instructions the outside seam on the right leg of both pairs twisted horribly. The outside seam on both pairs twisted all the way to the front of my leg. So the bottom cuff seam was sitting directly on top of my foot. I'm very disappointed, as I like the fit a lot...not sure I want to continue this buy and hope the seam is straight scenario...will probably be looking to a different brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Happy I have worn Levi 501 jeans for 40 years and the workmanship on the last 2 pair I purchased from the store online is atrocious. Plus the "shrink to fit" size I always buy 36x30 shrunk so much in length the first washing I cannot in good self conscience wear them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shrunk more than other Levi's Great jeans on first wear, after washing and drying them once they shrank too much to wear comfortably. I assumed I knew what size Levi's to get because I've had some 514 straight fits in the same 33X32 size and, even after many washes, they fit great. These are essentially unwearable now, though, and I'm not sure how I should've known to order a larger size.
