Rated 5 out of 5 by from best can opener this is the only type of can opener I will use. it works perfectly, very easy to turn with a large knob and comfortable handle. I love the lid grabber so I don't even have to touch the lid at all, but if I do it is not sharp. I have had this for a few months and still works like new. I am expecting it to last for a few years at least. the only negative is I have scratched the paint already. I love this can opener so much I want everyone to have one to share how great it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING! Can't say how much I love this can opener! I have other OXO products and chose it because of my confidence in the company. I opened one can and was literally in awe. It is completely effortless! It moves so smoothly you can't feel any resistance. I was so amazed I wanted to open every can in the pantry! Haha! It's a little pricey but well worth it if you need a can opener. Love this product!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Takes Some Getting Used To It's different from your average can opener, and it takes a little bit to get used to using it. But the real turning point was when I ordered some hard-to-find soup online. Some of the cans arrived severely dented on the top edge and no ordinary can opener would be able to get into, and they had stacking bottoms that it couldn't grab on to. I decided to give it a try with the Oxo, and to my surprised it did it! Since it works by cutting the outside rather than inside the on the top, it had no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helps with RA I have rheumatoid arthritis and am trying to avoid stress to my hands. I'm able to turn the can with this opener to the rear, hold it with my right hand and turn the handle with my left, thus not forcing fingers in the wrong direction. Either way, it attaches very easily and best of all, leaves no sharp edges and doesn't sink into the can contents. I have no trouble keeping it in a drawer- can't imagine why some say they can't- you'd have to have a very low height drawer.
