Shoe Size & Style Guide

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Fourth Pair of These Boots These are fantastic boots. This is my fourth pair, and each one has lasted me no fewer than 18 months, even when I was going to school and walking a couple miles each day on concrete sidewalks. Now that I work at a desk, they last me even longer. The only drawback to these is the heel, and the issue is twofold: 1. The hard heel wears quickly. You can buy plastic "taps" online that attach with a few small nails and these will work well. Buy a multipack; I usually had to replace the plastic ones about once a month when walking heavily on concrete. Once every three months now that I have a desk job. 2. The heels do not have much traction once the thin rubber layer wears off. The plastic taps mentioned above do help with this somewhat, but still take caution on wet linoleum/hardwood, especially if you strike hard with your heel when walking. Also, be warned that these boots can be loud. I've had a few people make comments. They are a hard heel, so they sound like cowboy boots. I honestly enjoy it, but some may not. Bonus: for me, these are the one shoe that really helps my plantar fasciitis. If you suffer from this or any other arch issues, I'd recommend still getting insoles for them, especially because the fabric lining does wear off quickly. Fortunately, these boots have plenty of room above the foot, so insoles won't make your foot feel crammed. Finally, these run a little large. I wear a 10.5 in most shoes, but always order a 10 in these.
