This gadget-aholic is just disappointed :(
I have been such a fan of all my kitchen aid attachments (pasta, ice cream etc). Could not wait for this one. Very cumbersome to use many parts and disc and not easy to clean. Pieces get stuck and jammed. You almost need to keep the instruction booklet laminated nearby. The dice is a great, The feed tube is miniscule and requires more effort to precut; it doesn't save time. The julienne disc is a small shred. Sadly, going to return it. My cuisinart food processor worked great and gave a longer julienne (alas, no dicing - but hey I will live...). Sorry to disappoint other kitchen aid fans.

Does not perform up to expectations
My main complaint is that there seems to be a design flaw in this attachment. No matter if it's apples, onions or potatoes, too much unprocessed food remains in the bowl. Large pieces need to be removed and finished with a knife which defeats the purpose of the tool. This happens with all the slicing blades and at all adjustments. I believe there's too much space between the feeding tube and the disks. (The "harder" the food, the less remains unprocessed: yams produced the best results.) I have several Kitchenaid attachments and this is the first one I'm unhappy with.

Disappointed
I had the Kitchen Aid stand alone processor but was so excited for my new mixer I figured I would just gather all the attachments for it, starting with the processor. Well 2 months later I'm so disappointed. It really is NOT a food processor...at all. It does do a fine time with shredding and I use it mostly just to make cauliflower rice but that's basically it. It says it Juliennes but the opening is too small to put anything in it to julienne. I'm just bummed because I would have kept my stand alone processor and picked the ice cream maker instead.

No more tears slicing onions!
I really like my new processor attachment! It slices every veggie you can throw in it, and it grates cheese like a breeze. I love the fact that I can slice an onion in 10 seconds without shedding a single tear.The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I have not found a veggie yet that it juliennes well. It has a julienne blade that, at least for me, just crushes things to a pulp. The slicing blade and the shredding blade work exactly as advertised. If I had it to do over again, I would definitely buy it again, although I would get the food processor with the dicing kit included. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
