Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the same 559 Levi's Buyer beware! My husband has been wearing Levi's for 45 years. He's been wearing the 559 for years. We just ordered 4 pairs and when they came they now have stretch in them . No where on the website does the description mention stretch. My husband noticed the the difference right away and asked me if the jeans felt stretchy . We actually called Levi and co and they said they are moving away from 100% cotton on most there styles. Very disappointing. The jeans aren't as thick as they used to be. My husband wears out his jeans quickly I can't imagine the thinner jean holding up well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inconsistent sizing One thing I've noticed over the years is the lack of consistency in how a pair of jeans fit. The reason is that they are made all around the world, and unless you get lucky enough to get 2 pair that are made in the same country they won't fit the same. So you order a pair and they fit great, you order another pair same model, size, and they fit terrible, because they are made in a different country.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Whatever happened to Levis? This fit and style of these jeans are great. They are comfortable. The problem is - they start to break down within a few washes. After only a few washes, you'll notice the cuffs and the pocket edges beginning to fray... then they start to fray and shred apart after only a few months following purchase! I've purchased levis for years and never recall them self destructing so quickly... Denim was supposed to be durable and not something so easily defeated by a washing machine. Levis quality has really fallen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product was labeled wrong These can be good if you can get them with the right label that shows the true size. I've bought 7 pairs over the last few months...all advertised as the same model and same size. Three fit fine. The others no. So I returned them. But you can't tell the difference from looking at the on-line offerings. With my latest purchase, one was fine, the other was 2 inches larger in the waist and 2 inches longer. So another return...another hassle.
