Rated 4 out of 5 by from Genuine garnet??? I recently purchased this very pretty "garnet" ring from Kohl's, but I question whether the stone is actually a GENUINE garnet. Let me first say that the overall styling, and the quality of the silver and the #lab# white sapphire stones, is excellent. This item is a very attractive ring for a very reasonable price. HOWEVER, at first glance, the stone seems to be the color of a genuine garnet, #a deep but firey red#, but, when I hold the stone to a light indoors or take it outdoors, the color actually turns to a pinkish rose. I have had many garnet jewelry items, and even the cheapest among them, has never shown this color distortion. So, I would beware of this color/genuineness factor. Overall, 'though, I would probably buy the ring again, since it does have the other redeeming features in the silver and the white sapphires.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stone is Chipped! I was so excited when this ring arrived. I opened it and threw away the packaging placing it in my jewelry box until the next time I wore red to pair it with. Today is that day and as I sit in my office admiring it I notice the corner of the garnet is chipped. It's pretty noticeable right under the prong. I'm so upset.
