Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this toy I purchased this for my 5 year old granddaughter. She is entering Kindergarten this fall. We sat for hours and wrote letters to each other. She told me what she wanted to say in her letter, she cant' spell but does know her alphabet, together we wrote a letter to me, she told me what she wanted to say and I told her letters of the alphabet to form her words. Then she would mail it to me. I would read it and respond with a letter to her. I was amazed at how fast she picked spelling and reading. I would like more envelopes and letters, so mom and dad could each write a letter and place it in her mailbox to read each morning. Also great to bring out to the cottage for the week so all her older cousins could write letters for her to read each day. LOVE this toy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I already bought it again for one grandchild to take home. This is an adorable toy. I have two grandchildren, both age 3 , and they play with this constantly! Mail is supplied as are erasable crayons. But I always add some index cards when we run out of "Mail"! They love the product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun! I got this for my children for Christmas. My three-year-old loves it so much because she gets mad when I run out to the mailbox alone-- just don't want to get her dressed in her snowsuit on those freezing, slushy days (Can you blame me? It's a 15 second experience that will take 30 minutes for prepare for!). So, she gets her mail in the house. It's a lot of fun to have kids write letters on the plastic paper that comes with the mailbox, although writing on regular paper and "resending" the holiday cards can be entertaining and meaningful. I saw this in Real Simple Magazine and was delighted when I found it here online. Get one now! (Great for Valentine's Day! Put your children's school valentines or your own in the mailbox!)
