Which Stool Height is Right for You?
There are several factors to consider when choosing a stool for your home. Most importantly is height, as you need the right stool for your bar, countertop, or table.
The three most popular stool styles are counter height, bar height, and adjustable height. Let’s look at the difference between the three styles, and give you the info you need to make the right choice!
Counter height stools are ideal for use at a surface that is 35-39 inches tall. The stool seat height itself should be between 24 and 27 inches high when looking for a counter height stool.
Bar height stools are a bit taller than their counter height counterparts, as a bar stool is best used at a surface that is 40-43 inches tall. The seat of a bar stool should be somewhere between 28 and 33 inches in height.
For the maximum in versatility, choose an adjustable height stool. These seats offer the full range of height options, meaning they can be used at a countertop or a bar. They extend from 24 to 33 inches in seat height, and can be used at surfaces that range in height from 35 to 43 inches tall.
Features of Stools
Another thing to consider when purchasing a stool is the construction of the seat itself. Do you want your stool with a back or without? Cushioned or non-cushioned? Adjustable? Swivel? The stool seating options are endless.
- Cushioning & Care
