Fleece blankets are washable but there are a few tips that you should follow to ensure that your cover remains in the best condition possible.

Caring for Fleece Blankets & Throws

Whether it's weighted, electric, wool, or fleece, your throws should all be washed from time to time. Here’s how it’s done:

1. Check for Stains - It’s better to treat stains before washing the blanket. Let a small amount of liquid detergent soak into the stain for about 10 minutes, then blot away as much of the soap as possible with a cloth or paper towel.
2. Begin Washing - After checking the tag for any special washing instructions, you can fill your washing machine with cold water and laundry detergent. Wash fleece blankets by themselves on a gentle cycle.
3. Dry the Blankets - After washing, hang them up to dry or let them tumble dry on the gentle cycle with low heat. Avoid high heat as this can cause the blanket fibers to melt or shrink.
