Rated 5 out of 5Â by Ashley My son (and all his friends) LOVE this!
This was purchased for my one-year old's birthday and I waited almost a year to write a review. He LOVES this though! It was a huge hit at his party, even the big 4 year olds wanted to play with it. My son still plays with it daily. My only complaint is there was a small chunk of wood missing from one part of the blue bottom section, which I'm sure I could have contacted M&D about, but honestly, it didn't effect the use, so I just didn't worry about it. It is sort of loud, but that's part of the fun for kids and it's much easier on the ears than some of the musical walkers.

I introduced this toy at exactly the time my child started toddling. He has lots of toys and he plays with all of them for long periods of time, hitting each of them at least a couple of times a week. He has never shown the slightest interest in this toy. He really won't go near it. It's a shame because it's kind of an expensive toy. He has several other push toys which he uses. And really, all of them do more than this toy. I think parents like the idea of a wooden toy, kids (at least mine) not impressed. Maybe the chomping alligators scare him. In any case, a big waste of money for me.

I purchased this for my nephew's first birthday. Great toy and "walker" in one - it's entertaining with the cute alligators clacking, as well as stabilizing for the little guy who is a bit unsteady on his feet, just starting to walk on his own. Easy assembly - just need a screwdriver to attach the handle to the base, and he was ready to go! My nephew knew exactly what to do with it when I handed it over to him - he immediately grabbed on and walked off, pushing the toy across the room. I thought it might be noisier, but it's much quieter than most of the other toys he has. Great buy!

I bought this toy for my nephew's 1st birthday. My sister reports that it is his favorite toy, she has trouble getting out of the house with her son with out it. He loves walking around the house with it and enjoys taking it to the park or on walks. He has just started walking and is a little unsteady, especially over long distance, and this toy gives him a little more independence. She also reports that the clacking sound it makes is a lot less annoying than some of the lighted music toys he got for his birthday. A lot of those are mysteriously missing their batteries.
