Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor quality..would not recommend I have had this knife set for a couple of months now and I am very disappointd in the quality. The soft handles create a great non slip grip while the stainless steel looks a bit on the cheap side. I do not put my knifes in the dish washer. I always hand wash them and about four of the knifes have small spots of rust which I know will only get worse. Very disappointed in that!!!! They do cut nice although I am not quite sure if I like it that ALL the knifes are serrated. The block is not black its more of a metallic charcoal. Over all the rust spots are my worst disappointment....The soft grip on the handles would be my only compliment on this item. 10/14/2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Flimsy I bought these yesterday and am planning to return them today after only trying the chef's knife. I bought it to replace my old Revere set (which I'm sure was much less expensive) because that chef's knife no longer remains sharp (but it has been over 10 years, after all). This chef's knife felt much lighter weight and flimsier, didn't rest well in my hand. I was drawn in by the "never sharpen" claims, but I guess this is because of the serrated edge, which does not really allow for a rocking action, like I'm used to using. It was a struggle to cut through the thick part of a carrot. I think I'll go back to look for something non-serrated and hopefully a little heftier. 05/06/2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Look great, but not sharp enough I love the style of the knives, but they weren't as sharp as I would have liked. The 8-inch chef's knife did not chop through hard foods like carrots and apples very easily. The bread knife worked well on bread, but not on other soft foods. I was disappointed and I really wanted to like them, but I returned them and I am on the hunt yet again for a good set of knives. 02/21/2011
