I have a 18 month old and she has a tendency to color anything and everything she can get her hands on. I was so thankful we went with color wonder line for my daughters Christmas present. We got her the following color wonder products: tote bag, refill pads, coloring book with markers, and the finger paints. The very first time she used them she went from writing on the paper, to the wall (when I had my back turned) and not a thing was on my walls. She likes them, and I love this line of products! I even enjoy playing with her color wonder items... Enjoyed by all ages, even adults! Happy customers all around in this household!
Rated 5 out of 5Â by Doctress67 Awesome Product!!
I purchased this product for by budding artist for Christmas 2014. My daughter is 2 1/2 years old. I showed her once how to dip her finger in the paint, instead of scooping it out, and then rub it on the paper. I even explained to her that it was necessary for her to clean her fingers after each color. I did not receive a sponge so we just used a wet wipe. She transitions from color to color with ease; wiping her fingers between colors. She has no problem opening the paint and knows at all times exactly what color she is using. Her pictures are beautiful!!! I now find her finger painting on her own with no help or guidance from me (except to ask for a wipe). She absolutely loves this set and I am definitely going to purchase more sets.
Rated 1 out of 5Â by grandmaof3 Stick to regular finger paint.
Being a mother of 5 and grand mother of 3, I would suggest saving the money and sticking with regular finger paint.
1.The sponge is not good enough for a 3 year old to know that her finger no longer has "blue" paint on it, for instance.
2. The paint takes a long time to show up on the paper and there are is a lot of 'gel' left on the paper.
3. The instructions say to remove excess gel with a paper towel. How do you do this without messing up the picture?
4. The color code is on the lid (which is hard to open for a toddler) so once open, they do not know what color they are supposedly using.
Rated 3 out of 5Â by GrandmaSC CAUTION: Color Wonder Fingerprints stain!
My 2+ granddaughter used these fingerpaints on my kitchen table. I now have bright yellow stains in the varathane finish of my maple table. The clear fingerpaints definitely show color on surfaces other than the magic paper. Although this product is a lot of fun for toddlers, use with extreme caution.
