I have 2 of these percolators. They are great. Very good quality. The first one I bought was in 1995. It's a little different on the bottom. It doesn't have any seems, which I think is better. Also the handle was straighter which I liked better. The only problem I had was the black plastic under perk dome cracked, so I ordered a new dome which included the black plastic peace which they said in one email wouldn't fit, but in another email said would fit, (which it did fit) meantime I bought another percolator, the current one. I am very happy with both! Would recommend to anyone. Can't believe one person thought it was electric?

Absolutely love this! It makes coffee that tastes & smells like it came from the large electric percolater my Grandma used for family everyday. A friend of mine stopped by the 1st day we used this & was blown away by the smell. Poured her a cup & she said it's best coffee she's had. She wasn't raised on the old percolaters but fell in love with this & purchased 1 that day. Coffee is HOT & stays hot, not lukewarm like it is with the cheap plastic coffee makers of today. I was tired of replacing plastic coffee makers that barely last a year & will never go back to those. I have gas stove so we'll still get coffee even if electric goes out like last winter! Highly recommend!!

I bought this perculator as a non electric backup. Last year we were without power for several weeks on the east coast, however I have a propane gas range in my kitchen, so still able to cook. I wish I had this coffee pot then. Turns out I like the coffee better than my usual drip maker! Brews hot and flavorful.
Farberware makes a good product. This is a little pricey for what it is, but im going to keep it as backup in case of another winter storm. It comes in handy if you are a camper & have a camping stove on hand. We got to have our hot coffee dont we? :)

I have not used a "stove top" coffee maker for many, many years, probably going back to late 70's.
I wanted a coffee maker that required no electricity to use, something a little more old fashioned...and this fits the bill.
I was pleasantly surprised that the coffee maker is a little larger than I thought it was.
Seems to be made well.
I like the glass top that shows the coffee percolating, you can see how strong or weak it is. Some people don't like really strong coffee, some do.
You can wash the entire thing in nice hot sudsy water, no need to worry about getting anything wet that you shouldn't.
Permanent filter, no need to run out and buy paper filters.
The handle stays cool.
It's neat and looks great on my stove.
Can be used when camping outside
So far, I really like it.
