I had the same thing happen to the steel gray towels as another reviewer. After the first wash, they came out discolored as if they were bleached. I returned the defected towels and exchanged them for the same color. Unfortunately, the same problem happened and I return the gray along with the white towels of this brand. None of the other colors would work in my bathroom and didnt want all white towels. I was really bummed since the towels are fluffy and soft.

I bought these towels over one year ago and still have not used them. I have washed and dried them 2 times a week for the past year in order to get rid of all the ridiculous amounts of fuzz. They are still shedding and it seems no end is in sight. I wanted to like them so much because the color deep copper matches my bathroom so well. I wear contact lenses and cannot use these still because of the fuzz issue. After one year I am considering returning them because I have put so much time and effort into trying to get them in a usable condition without so much fuzz. I am so very disappointed in these towels and would NEVER recommend or buy them again. I have never been so disappointed in a Kohl's product before and have been shopping here for 15 years.

Wash them before use. And they discolor. But I do have other colors in this brand and they are fine

After reading a few of these reviews, I thought I'd reiterate what some other reviewers said regarding the color not being steadfast. I ordered these towels in Spa Blue, and after the first washing, they looked like they had been splattered with bleach. Such a shame because, otherwise, they are great - nice style, soft, fluffy and absorbent. Perhaps this problem is limited to just some of the colors. I've also purchased these towels in Red and gave them as graduation gift. I never heard any complaints, but doubt that I would have (they are used by a college-aged boy who probably wouldn't care either way). If you purchase, just be aware that this could be a problem.
