Rated 4 out of 5Â by MelinNC nice over sleeveless tops, can dress up or down
It's true this doesn't really have a foldover lapel as the photo suggests, but it can be worn that way short-term. I bought mainly because this is longer in the back than most bolero jacket/shrugs, which often fall at an odd spot too high above the waist. Great to wear over cap-sleeve or sleeveless garments, anywhere from a wedding to a casual restaurant, without being swallowed up by a loose wrap (these sleeves are too narrow to wear over another full sleeve though). Fabric is also a nice weight for some coverage and warmth but won't snag on everything like more delicate items often do.

Feels so soft, looks so good. It reminds me of wearing a jacket...looks as dressy with my dresses and I love the sweater feel. I have not washed it yet, so let's hope it washes well...but so far, it's just great.

The product photo mislead me to believe this shrug had a kind of a lapel to it, like it could almost pass for a blazer from far away. No such luck. If you try to make this look, the edge will not stay folded over.
This is your ubiquitous flat, draping shrug with a rounded front end. If you have a belly, you should avoid this kind of shrug - instead look for one with longer front ends, or an asymmetrical edge. If you're skinny, once you get to this quality of shrug, why not just get a (more stylish) blazer?
You can get this same pattern cheaper in other brands. However, worth the price for the high quality. Good fabric and solid stitching; the black is a nice rich color.

I had to return and order 2 sizes higher. That was the first time I ever needed to. The larger size was much better which is odd, I always had the same size for Dana Buchman clothes.
