Rated 2 out of 5 by Less than what I expected I purchased the Kitchen Aid stand mixer thinking this would be the mixer above all other mixers I have owned in the past. Instead, I find myself going back to my simple handheld Hamilton Beach mixer for most jobs that use a mixer. (1) The Kitchen Aid I have is noisy. (2) I have to arm wrestle the mixing bowl into place. (3) I have to constantly stop and scrap the sides and bottom of the bowl because the beater does not go deep enough in the bowl. (4) The dough hook is a poor excuse for a tool to knead bread. I believe the stand mixer is another example of something designed by a engineer that never used what he/she had designed. 12/08/2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME!! I bought this mixer in August. I love, love, love the pastel pink!! This machine is really a workhorse. I have had the 5qt 425 model for 13 years and that did great, but I wanted a different bowl and the scraper attachment. I have made triple batches of cookies and it does not bog down one bit. I have made bread, frostings, batters all with ease. I read a lot of reviews and there were some complaints on the scraper attachment, but I have had no issues. I love the scraper attachement. All of my small appliances are KitchAid. They are made great and have wonder customer service for the one problem that I had with my pink mini chopper. 12/02/2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by greatest machine I have in my house I bought my professional 600 series KitchenAid stand mixer 15 years ago and it is still running as good as new. I love it for everything I bake. I have the meat grinder which is excellent because I make homemade sausage. I have the sausage stuffer which is excellent and also the food grater which I use for homemade hash browns. In seconds I have hash browns ready to fry.I like it especially for bread making, it cuts kneeding in half and makes better bread. I can make enough dough to make 4 loaves + a pan of cinnamon rolls. I can't say enough about how well this machine works for me, it's a time saving miracle.if I had to replace it, it would be with the same exact one. 12/04/2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great machine I've been married 42 years and for our engagement my husband bought me my first Kitchen Aid stand mixer which I have enjoyed using. He recently bought me my 2nd one, not because the first one quit (it's still going strong) but because the new one is bigger. I read reviews which said it's noisy. It's a little louder than the smaller one but it's more powerful so while it's louder it is certainly not enough to be annoying. I'm enjoying using it, especially for bread making because of the power kneader attachment and the larger capacity. All around a solidly made machine. 12/09/2014
