However, like many people have said it does brown quickly where the heating element is so pancakes come out unevenly done.. so one must decide if that is a deal breaker. smaller units where one pancake can fit won't do that.. even a skillet on the stove will cook more evenly, but then people eat one at a time. The advantage is that you can cook more at the same time and eat together. You would think in 2015 that a griddle could be designed to cook evenly but I haven't found it yet and this griddle is no different. I dont know how people review this griddle saying it cooks evenly. 12/08/2015

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Shipsmate The Best!! Love everything about this griddle. The unit is well made and the ability to remove the handles (very easy to do) makes it PERFECT for my small kitchen. Slides in a thin spot, place the legs and cord in a baggie and you are good to go. I even love the textured top, leaves a nice design on pancakes etc. It is easy to clean, use and store!! 10/30/2013

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Nikki313 Presto 22-inch Electric Griddle This is not my first Presto Griddle but, it is larger than my previous one. The griddle is easy to clean, sturdy, and heats up quickly. The corners don't get as hot as the bottom directly over the heating element, however, I have been able to make good use of this place with the lower temperature, for use as a "cooling" spot. 03/11/2016
