This was my second carpet cleaner that I have bought and was disappointed both times. I bought a Bissell before and thought I would try a Hoover after trying a friend's Hoover. It does a good job cleaning the carpet, but the hand held stair attachment broke after two uses. It would no longer squirt water. This was the same problem I had with the Bissell. Because the stairs are what get dirty the fastest in our house, I am really disappointed in it especially when this is the second one to break. But if you are only looking to clean the carpet in various rooms, it has worked well.

After a lot of research, we recently brought this "Hoover Max Extract Dual V Wide Depth Carpet" Cleaner. The delivery was very quick from Kohls. It was very easy (usually takes 10-15mins) to assemble with the given instructions manual (also there are lots of video's in the youtube to check). The package comes with a sample Hoover cleaning liquid. Its easy to refill the water and pretty easy to clean after use. With the single wash the carpet is very clean and it also helps to quickly dries the carpet. So far am happy with this product. Thanks.

We've never purchased a residential carpet cleaner, we owned a very large commercial carpet/tile cleaner previously. This Hoover cleaner did a great job on light beige Berber carpet in a beach house. We clean the carpet every year and it was unbelievable at the sand this cleaner extracted from three rooms of carpet. My only issue was finding the Hoover brand spot pre-treat spray, I had to buy the Bissell pre-treat. I used the spin brush attachment to clean a rattan chair cushion and it also did a great job. Very pleased with this purchase.

It worked well for about six times (after we got their recalled leaking tank replaced) and then it leaked grease all over the carpet. At first we thought we had run over something, however, a ChemE given fiber samples determined it was the very same lubricant in their brush head. Hoover, was contacted and assigned my case to their agent. I've tried everything to get the grease out and it's futile.
