Macarons Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 ounces) almond paste
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Place almond paste and egg whites in mixer bowl. Attach bowl and flat beater to mixer. Turn to Speed 4 and beat 1 minute. Stop and scrape bowl. Add granulated sugar. Continue on Speed 4 and beat 30 seconds. Stop and scrape bowl.
  2. Sift powdered sugar into bowl. Turn to Speed 6 and beat 15 seconds.
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased and floured baking sheets. Bake at 350F for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
