Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great replacement This blender was bought to replace a Braun hand blender which expired after 17 years. It seems to be even more powerful than my countertop blender. Its primary job is to mix drinks, I have also used it to make coconut milk. It works very well, the need to press a button in the handle before it can start is a bit odd though. The only regret I have is that a new one was launched last month about 2 months after buying mine. The new one has a 300 watt motor and a 3 cup working cup. Apart from that everything is fine

Rated 3 out of 5 by from New safety button on top Wanted to buy this for someone who liked my Cuisinart immersion blender (model CSB-75) which I love very much for pureeing soups. Thought this would be the same thing since I bought mine from Kohl's years ago. However, they've added a new safety feature to the top. I think adding a safety SWITCH would be a good idea. What they've done though is made it a BUTTON that you have to hold down simultaneously with the "low" or "high" button as you're blending. They're in two different spots. Poorly designed update. Back to the store it goes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality built but not for me This hand blender feels sturdy and well put together, and has a powerful motor. However, you are required to hold down a "lock button" SIMULTANEOUSLY while engaging the power button to first work the product. This is really difficult and requires both manual dexterity and strength. Every time you release the power button, you have to go through the whole lock button plus power button sequence, so it's very ungainly and difficult to use easily. Maybe others with larger and stronger hands can manage this easily but I could not so I returned it. Great Kohls customer service about the return though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So glad I finally bought one of these. making soup and moving the hot liquid to a blender of food processor was getting really old for me. This tool makes it so much easier and now my husband and I enjoy pureed soups much more often. Am using this for gravies as well. When my daughter was visiting for a few weeks this winter, she jumped at the opportunity to make her baby's pureed food with this. It will be her birthday present this year. One thing to note (that I was disappointed in) is that you must hold the top button down and the front high/low button at the same time all throughout operation. I still have not found this to be easy.
