Rated 5 out of 5 by from No carafe! I bought it because there's no carafe for me to break. We use the sprayer from our sink to fill the reservoir, so no issue there. I didn't want to get stuck with having to buy the coffee pods - plus we like regular, old fashioned coffee the best. One downside is the limitation on the height of a cup that fits under the dispenser. A travel mug doesn't slip under it. However, cups only slightly shorter (1/2") than a travel mug DO fit. I thought all coffeemakers burbled at the end- that's what tells me it's done! So the tiny beep seems duplicative. I love the streamline look on my new counters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this coffee maker! I'm on my third Cuisinart Coffee on Demand Coffee Maker. I purchased this years ago and love the fact there is no carafe. Make your coffee, press the button and voila, one perfect cup of coffee. The only downside is you have to be careful the heating element doesn't get wet otherwise it will rust out. Thoroughly dry the bottom of the tank before you put it back. I also wish there was a way to remove the cover with the holes on top to thoroughly clean it. All in all, I highly recommend this coffee maker.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks. Then it leaks some more ... Bought in April and it started leaking in August. Two-person home where coffee is typically brewed only once per day. The concept is nice (no glass carafe to crack and then have to replace) but the design is flawed. When I contacted Cuisinart, they offered to replace with the same exact model ... with no improvements on design AND with shipping at my expense. Plus, I had to ship MY defective unit back to them at my expense??? Kohl's gave me full credit and I replaced this with a lovely KitchenAid unit with a regular, glass carafe. Live and learn ...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Idea/Poor Quality I am writing this after owning this type for over three years. The first one last two years and began leaking (all over the counter, floor, etc.) and so I threw out and bought another last year (should have returned). Just this week, brewed a pot and, again, the valve stuck and coffee all over the counter. Returned to Kohl's and received refund. This seems to be a defect if you read reviews. Also the container is really hard to clean as coffee oils collect in a bottom rim and takes A LOT of scrubbing. Two stars for idea, zero stars for quality and execution.
