Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bottom half good, top half unusable For twenty years I have relied on the excellent quality and fit of Gold Toe Cotton Fluffies and wore nothing else. Now the product is called Cotton Crews and while the bottoms are still excellent, the tops are so tight they leave deep ridges in my ankles. My only relief is to discard the tops and sew the bottoms onto the the salvaged tops of my old Fluffies, which are still good after years of use. The end result looks odd but makes for a good sock as long as the two halves hold together. I don't know why the elastic is now made so tight that it hurts your ankle. I'd rather have socks that fall down!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only socks my husband will wear Have purchased for over 10 years now. They are a little more expensive but I think they are worth the price. We have never have had a problem with the elastic or holes in the toes. He just wears them out. I have found that over the past year I have started to hang them rather than put them through the dryer and they are lasting a bit longer, so if you can avoid the heat I would recommend this. The old ones make great dusters!! LOL

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cushy and comfortable My husband loves these socks. I normally get the white ones but thought it would be nice to try the grey ones this time. He works construction so he spends all day on his feet. He will only wear gold toe socks, the seam on the toes does not rub him raw in any way and the thickness is just right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good socks The only negative on these socks is they will eventually fade even when washing them in cold water. My husband wears them with jeans and once they fade he wears them cutting grass so as not to have grass stains on white socks.
