Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect combination of price and quality I bought this watch during Thanksgiving and received a discount on this item. I am still excited about the decision I made to purchase this beautiful and simple watch. I really it for its battery-free design. I am sure I will wear it for a long time. With this watch, cellphone no longer takes me lots of time since there is no excuse for time. Wonderful! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Geat looking great to wear I bought this 3months ago, and intended to give it to somebody, but guess what, I kept it! I bought it for a man, but this was what I was looking for . A big face with a black background and easy to read. Haven't gotten the date and day to sync up correctly so I have to look into that. And love the fact that it's solar energized.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple yet elegant. What first attracted me to this watch was it's simple yet elegant design. The black face of the watch along with the black genuine leather strap really gives it an ultra sleek look that can go with any attire; whether it's formal or casual. This watch also includes the day of the week along with the day of the month which is a wonderful feature. It's nice not having to pull out my smartphone to see what day of the week it is; all that's needed is a cursory glance at my wrist. One small nitpick, and this is not a big deal, but the watch hands and numbers don't glow in the dark. So if you find yourself in a dark room or outside at night trying to tell what time it is can be a bit difficult. Overall, though, this watch is amazing. A very practical timepiece that is designed in such a beautiful manner. I highly recommend it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great look, easy to read day/date Positives: Overall, I'm very pleased with my first Citizen watch. Great look, thin design, easy to read day/date. Negatives: The crown stem is almost completely smooth, which makes it difficult to get a grip on the stem to reset day/date and time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice watch Nice watch. Easy to read dial, nice-looking, so far keeps very accurate time. It's only a month old so I don't know about reliability, longevity or anything else. Seem well made enough. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant simplicity I got this watch for Christmas and it rarely leaves my wrist. It's clean classic lines and easy to read face, along with the matching black band work well in most every occasion. I wear this watch more often than my $300 Seiko.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent watch I bought this watch about two months ago from Amazon. It looks great - better than in the picture. It has a solid built and the stainless steel rim looks classy. The leather straps are also quality material. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple & Elegant I have asked for this and placed on my wish list for Christmas 2016. Well, I got it from my wonder wife. I picked this out of other similar products, because of the none longevity and quality of Citizen watches, and it's ability to maintain time on an independent level (with little-to-no interaction by me). What I want in a watch? 1) To price at or around $100 USD or less. Because I don't believe in paying for a time piece where there is no durability, periodic maintenance, etc. The only reason I would pay more, if the timekeeper was to remain as actual as possible, and would last a lifetime without battery, adjusting time/date, was waterproof (not resistant), and would survive harsh activities and condition. 2) It must have a few numeric numbers on the face, analog and have second hand. 3) It must have a day and date view 4) It must be solar power or some other constant power source even when not used. 5) It needs to be adaptable to the occasion: it can be casual or formal, and still be fashionably acceptable. 6) Preferred option: atomic timekeeping capability. Well, 5 out 6 wasn't bad. My other idea has a Casio that had atomic timekeeping capabilities, but having had a Casio before, the quality of the material have in the past, rendered its wear-ability useless, and the warranty, which is less than Citizen, has placed the timepiece un-wearable. My Citizen Men's Strap BM8240-03E has what I want and need in a watch: simple, not too small or big, lightweight, Arabic numerals, day & date, a third-hand (second), simple water resistance to typical splashes, and sub $100 (online). Since, I'm not foreseeing a zombie apocalypse or being stranded on an island, the waterproof, extreme durability and atomic timekeeping isn't as important as it is to being able to wear an simple and elegant timepiece at just about every occasion without prejudice objection to my manly fashion.
