Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as described Definitely not recommended for children who are teething and chew on everything they can get their hands on. My 1-year old granddaughter received this as a gift and the first day part of the picture on one of the pieces had been chewed off. Appears to be made of stiff cardboard rather than wood as described. The puzzle also has a very strong unpleasant odor to it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Puzzle seems cheap I am very disappointed in this puzzle. I usually love Melissa and Doug items, and their puzzles are always so nice. I ordered this farm puzzle for my daughter's first Christmas, and when it arrived I was surprised. The pieces are cut sort of uneven and some edges are still jagged like they weren't sanded properly, and where the edges aren't smooth the pictures on the pieces are peeling off. I contemplated gluing the edges back down and keeping the puzzle, but I don't think I should have to pay for something that isn't made well. I am sending this back for a replacement or a different puzzle all together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it! Great toy! My son started playing with this puzzle at just before turning 1. He loves it and goes back to it again and again over other puzzles. The knobs are large enough for him to grasp easily which makes it much easier to spin the pieces to fit into the slots. He know all the animals by name and make the animals sounds when putting the pieces in. When we have play dates the other babies love to play with this puzzle also!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great idea, cheaply made Just bought the puzzle today and my son loved the wooden handles to grab the puzzle pieces, but once he was playing with then and had drooled and put one in his mouth, the paint started coming off. Turns out they are not wood, rather a cheap particle board. Melissa and Doug, make them out of wood!! Or seal them better.
