The Fit
In a world plagued with stretchy jeans and similarly delicate clothes, Dickies are going strong.
I am really happy with them. My word of advice is to buy your exact waist size. I thought that, because they are work pants they may be a bit looser but this is not the case. They sit higher on the waist than most jeans because they are classically cut. If they do seem slightly tight out of the box I would wash them and then when they are damp wear them until they dry. They will conform to you somewhat. Would absolutely recommend. Its refreshing to wear a pair of pants that is so durable you never have to worry about them.

Great work Pants!!
I just purchased 4 more pair of these pants for work. It had been a couple years since I had ordered the first 4 pair. I couldn't believe it had been over 2 years since I had ordered. The company issued uniform work pants never lasted more than a few months and it was a very complicated replacement process. I decided I would just purchase my own work pants to avoid the hassle. Dickies offered the right color, size and price. These are very comfortable, easy to clean, durable and still look great after 2 years. As with any uniform pant the sizing is a bit smaller than your street clothes so I always order a size larger. they are a perfect fit.

Great pants except.
This is my second purchase of the 874 pants. My first pants are bigger than I need ... think weight loss picture... so I assumed that the fabric was folding under my belt and caused the clasp to come loose.
My new pants fit with two fingers of space (I need the extra leg room for my big butt and thick thighs ) and they still suffer from open clasp syndrome.
I fixed this by grabbing a pair of pliers and giving the clasp a good squeeze.
This is why I knocked a star off.
These pants also arrive stiff like cardboard but after a few washes they soften up.

874 work pants
I manage a multi million dollar independent retirement community in Illinois so I have to dress up a bit. These pants work well so far because sometimes we have to get down and dirty. More expensive pants get trashed sometimes.
I have purchased shirts before which lasted 10 years without even a button falling off and I was in the maintenance field at that time. Shirts were washed daily 6 times a week. Material held up extremely well.
So, if these pants hold up that well it will be a great purchase.
Only one drawback with these pants. The side pockets are TOO SHALLOW. Need to be deeper. Otherwise, they are a great purchase for anyone.
