Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bought this to make GF bread I still need to do a little more research on recipe's for GF bread for bread machines, my first attempt was a failure next one was a little better because I took it out to knead it instead, but still not great. Now I have ordered GF bread mix to use, also unsure of the GF setting as it is not done when it gets to that setting. On line it says w/thermometer middle of bread should be 200-210 degrees to be considered done and not gooey. I can't add more time to the setting for Gluten free. I need to look into this more and try again, I'm not giving up, but not as clear cut as i thought it would be to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I love Kohl's and love Cuisinart and needed a new bread machine so I thought this would be a winning combo. Unfortunately, I ended up returning the machine after several attempts (and lots of wasted ingredients) because the paddle did not operate properly and kneaded everything unevenly. I've purchased coffee-makers and food processors from Kohl's and Cuisinart and LOVE them. Maybe this was an isolated lemon, but I wasn't willing to take another chance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Who doesn't love fresh bread? Easy instructions, great recipe book, super easy to clean, nice stainless design. This machine paid for itself in a month - with the holidays, our family goes through quite a few "artisan" loaves - which we now can make fresh, without added gunk, for a fraction of the cost. I'm addicted to putting ingredients for a one pound loaf (size options are 1, 1.5 and 2 pounds) in every night, then setting the delay timer and waking up to delicious smelling breakfast bread. I appreciate that the loaves are long and horizontal, not the tall vertical loaves most bread machines seem to have now. Took off one star, because after you bake bread in a certain mode, it is difficult to get it to change to another mode/size/crust color without unplugging it and waiting 15 minutes for the backup timer (which is convenient on its own during storms or power outages) to turn off and let me change specifications.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Machine works well but is too tall Machine works well but seems to be excessively complicated with a lot of settings. The worst thing about the machine is the controls are on the top to the back. This was purchased for my mother who has very low counter tops and it is still impossible to see the control screen without standing on a stool. My mother is 5 foot 1 and I am 5 foot and we cannot see the screen standing on the floor. If I had it on my counter tops I would have to stand on the second step of a step ladder to see it. It would be much better and more usable to have put the controls on the side or at least the screen to the front instead of the back.
