Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bang for the buck I have this yogurt maker since 3 months and like using it very much. Just the thought about making my own yogurt at such a small price makes me smile! The instructions are clear and easy, as is the process of making yogurt. The only thing I would like to see improved, is the way to put the filled inner container into, and take it out of the yogurt maker. I do it without the lid on, putting my thumbs on the inside without touching the mixture/yogurt, and fingers on the outside of the inner container, and then put the lid on. It works, but is a bit unprofessional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes great yogurt every time My family goes through a lot of yogurt, and I like making it at home. I was a little dubious about a yogurt maker -- after all, you can make yogurt with a crockpot, so did we really need a special gadget just for yogurt? I would heat and cool the milk, then pour it into the crock, wrap the crock with blankets, and get yogurt. However, this took up a huge amount of space on my countertops, and made some pretty unreliable yogurt. Sometimes it was good, but sometimes the crock stayed too hot or too cool and made weird, not-good yogurt. With this yogurt maker, you still need to heat the yogurt on the stovetop, and cool it down, but afterwards the yogurt maker keeps the milk at exactly the right temperature, leading to delicious, perfect yogurt every time. And it doesn't take up the entirety of my countertop! The only flaw that I have noticed so far is that the yogurt container can be difficult to remove from the maker. The lid is not terribly secure, so if you try to pick it up by the lid, it could fall out of your hands and make a huge mess. That hasn't happened to us yet, but it would be nice if the container had a handle of some sort, to make removing it easier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Making yogurt is simple We are a family of yogurt eaters and going through 3-4 quarts of high quality yogurt (plain and vanilla) was getting expensive. Enter the little Euro Cuisine Yogurt Maker. I say little because it is small enough to sit unnoticed on my counter while it incubates 2 quarts of yogurt for 8 hours. The inside container is not flimsy and it seals well, preventing spillage in the maker or when stored in the fridge. I like that this item included a thermometer, too. The whole yogurt-making process is simple---hope you try it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money This arrived to me DOA. Definitely frustrating as you are prepping everything and all you need to do now is turn on the yogurt maker and wait 8-12hours to find out that it doesn't even power on. So here I was with a brand new yogurt maker that was dead and milk that has already been heated and mixed with live cultures. What do I do now? Set it in the oven with the light on and test out the old fashion method instead. Which I have got to say is a money saver and I'm glad it arrived to me dead. Now I don't have to spend a ridiculous amount of money on an appliance that can only do one thing and take up counter space.
