Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not original 525 jeans Ordered these because my 7 year old 525 perfect waist straight jeans are getting frayed. Very disappointed. This is not the same at all! I have been buying and wearing Levi's for 40 years and it used to be the number jean always remained the same. Not so anymore. Returned and purchased 1969 Gap jeans which fit the way the 525 jeans should have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Levis from the past to the present I was quite pleased to see and feel the denim fabric was heavy as in the original style Levis. Yes, Levis added some stretch to the denim, but for me being a senior I appreciated the extra "give" around the waistline. I am petite, and 5'3", but ordered the regular size 8. Wanted the jeans to be long to cover my boots and clogs. Also wanted to have allowance for shrinkage. I have washed the jeans and did not note any shrinkage. When I go to order another pair of these jeans I will probably order a size 6 regular so the "legs" fit snugger and hope the waist will "accommodate" my mature waistline.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality has Diminished I bought a pair of these about 8 months ago, and love them. They fit well in the hips and thighs, and had the "perfect" waist! The waistband was forgiving, but not loose. The pair that I just purchased. Of the same size and type are so unpleasant to wear. The waistband rolls over, and the legs and hips are so loose. The quality really has gone downhill. Bring back the old recipe!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Like They Used To Be :(( I used to purchase these a few years back and then they didn't make them for a couple of years. When they did reintroduce them they were nothing like the old 525's. The old ones didn't have a separate waistband, they were one solid piece with only stitching indicating the waist band, and of course the button and zipper!! You could also get them in boot cut and the jean material was different as well. I still have one pair that is almost rags now because I've worn them out. So disappointed in the newer version of the old 525's. PLEASE BRING THE ORIGINAL ONES BACK!!!!
