Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good This Food Network pizza stone is thinner than the 20-year-old stone I recently replaced, but so far has matched it's performance. An improvement is the rolled edge, which keeps overflow sauce from hitting my oven. Like other stones, this one has a max temp of 500 degrees. I don't understand why they are not constructed to exceed the maximum oven temperature, so to be safe, I use it at 490. When it comes to pizza, the hotter the better. My favorite pizza joint uses 1000 degree ovens and produces outstanding pizzas in 2 minutes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This pizza stone bakes food really well I purchase this stone mainly to make homemade pizza. I used whole wheat pizza dough, and I do recommend using a little olive oil, as it did stick some. I know that it does need to develop a "patina" on the surface, so am confident this will not be a continuing problem over time. This stone is the perfect size, and does bake very evenly. The purchase price for this stone was really great also!
