Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is the worst can opener I have ever seen. I have had a spacemaker can opener for 12 plus years and I have enjoyed it and loved it. However, I had to replace it due to a part that broke off. Needless to say, a part is no longer available nor is the same can opener. So I bought the only one available now. It is no comparison to my old one. The cut is jagged and pieces of medel shavings fall into the can of food while opening it. It was also exstremely difficult to mount. I bought not only one,but two, thinking I had just gotton a bad one, but the second one was no better than the first. Now I have two, to take back. Not Happy at all :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worthless can opener This has got to be the most worthless can opener that Black and Decker makes. We have a very hard time getting it to penetrate the can, when we try to open a can with it. We have had two other openers that were made by B&D and they worked really well, like all good things they do wear out and have to be replaced , I just wish they still had the older kind that were of some value, this piece of junk has been nothing but trouble since day one. I bought it on line and don't remember from whom, otherwise I would take it back for a refund or replace it with another brand if necessary.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is my third B&D SpaceMaker My third: This can is so awkward to use that I am considering to uninstall it. It doesn't turn the can, it's hard to get the can started. The only thing it seems to do is rip off the label of the can, contaminate the cans product, and render the can so damaged that even a old fashion hand can opener won't open it. I must say that every time I purchased a new SpaceMaker the bolt hole pattern changed leaving my cabinet bottom looking a little Swiss cheese. I think I am looking for a new one even if it cost twice as much! SORRY B&D but you need to know

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard to mount on cabinets with trim The front mounting holes place the mounting screws in the joint between the cabinet bottom and the trim piece. If the unit is moved back so screws can go through the cabinet bottom then the lever cannot be raised to remove the cutter. This is poor design, Unit will probably work fine if your cabinets do not have trim pieces. Otherwise expect to go through hoops to mount it so that everything works. I had to put a small board on top of it and then use furring strips so that it could clear the trim piece and the lever on the cutter could be raised to the position that allows cutter removal.
