Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent coffee, even after 4 years My wife and I bought this coffee maker after our previous one failed shortly after moving into our new home. I was concerned with the maintenance initially but have found that I only need to clean out the grinder portion once a week if that. I drink 2 pots of coffee at home per day and have never been disappointed, friends and family always comment how good the coffee is. I'm very happy to see that they're still being sold, I'll purchase another one when this one finally fails. It was the most expensive coffee maker we've ever purchased, but considering how long it's lasted, it's been well worth it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great features - BUT, carafe leaks The first one I bought approx 2 yrs ago - grinder broke (despite regular cleanings per manufacturer instructions). Thanks to Kohl's excellent customer service it was replaced no problem. After the first cup is poured the stainless carafe leaks with every subsequent pour unless you barely trickle the coffee out. !st unit had the same issue. I've spoken to Cuisinart and they claim there are no other complaints about this problem - odd that I ended up with the only 2 pots in the world to leak! For the $$ of the unit you think they could fix this issue!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great coffee I love this coffee maker for the really good fresh coffee it brews, but we've only had it for about 6 mos. and we've already had to replace the carafe twice. After the first one cracked, we were very careful handling the carafe and we don't even know how the second one cracked. It's not like we banged it or hit something with it. At $25 a pop it gets a little expensive to keep replacing, so will think twice about buying another Cuisinart in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loves this product I became a coffee hound in Italy. I love my burr and grind, as it makes me my strong, hot coffee all day long. I did purchase it in 2001 (?), and I have have had four, and they have all been replaced, this one has not. It has recently started leaking from the bottom, still makes my coffee, but leaks from a front side. I called customer service at Cuisinart, and they told me they wouldn't repair it or referre me to a shop that could, they said I would have to buy a new one, since mine was out out warranty and no one would bother to help me. If I knew what to do I would take a look, as I just re-built our wood pellet stove and now we have heat!
