Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stylish designed jeans, but with quality concerns These Levi's 527 slim bootcut jeans have a stylish design with a modern fit, but they come with qualitry issues. The bottom edges of each pant leg have a series of places that appear to be frayed, as if worn for a long time. It's not clear if this fraying is designed in or is a quality defect. Either way, this worn look is not consistent with the new look of the rest of the jeans. Also, the actual inseam length is much longer than advertised, giving a bunched-up look when worn with shoes or boots. The other Levi's 517 bootcut jean option has an equally good fit with a truer inseam length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Control Issues While I give the jeans a 5 star rating, I think Levi's should consider their quality control issues and rethink the manufacturing process. In 5 of the last 7 pairs of jeans I've bought, the sewing seam on one of the legs is not even close to where it should be. That said, you get one leg that the seams are all aligned properly, and one leg that the outside seam wants to twist around to the front of the jeans. Rather disconcerting from a quality control standpoint. Now the jeans all fit exactly as expected, but you have to keep sending back pairs until you get one that has the seams aligned better. Quite a hassle for what is expected to be a great looking pair of jeans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Disappointed Purchased the Indigo Black. I'm guessing it is suppose to be the style with THIS color (though it wasn't in the discription) but along the bottom of the jeans there were small holes spaced about the same distance apart which would make the hems wear out faster. If I'm going to spend money on clothes I want them to be in great condition and I want them to LAST. Is that to much to ask? Checked the other colors in the store and no other colors had the damage along the hems was just the Indigo Black so I exchanged for a different color. Other than the issue with the Indigo Black having holes along the hem my husband loves the way they fit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality is inconsistant 527 bootcut jeans are the last of a dying breed of bootcut jeans available, I'am finding it hard to find a pair that does not have imperfections. Every pair I try on fits a bit different so I always take 5 pairs in and pick the best one. The material is thinner and the stitching crooked in a lot of my pairs of jeans. But they are the only nice bootcut jeans reasonably priced out there to buy. All I can say is there is room for improvement in quality and quality control, they are not the same jean company they use to be and I have been wearing them for 35 years.
