Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fabric is thin and after washing there are creases everywhere The first issue is the fabric: it is way too thin with respect to what i was used even 5 or 6 years ago. I understand Levi's changes some details of the 501 every now and then (it always did look at their LVC line) but going thinner and cheaper on the fabric it's a poor marketing choice from all angles. Second, this has been pointed out by others too: after washing on a gentle 40°C cycle there are white creases running down the front and the back of the jeans. I guess it is a consequence of the thinner cotton used? This pair is ruined and will need to get a new one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will be changing to another brand Been wearing 501 shrink to fit since 1972, long before they were trendy, and they only came in one color. I dont wear these for style I wear them because they fit and they last for years, at least they used to. Just bought my last pair a while back. New narrow hem lets pants curl up at hem, stitching is lower quality. denim is definitely lighter weight, one wash and they felt like they had been washed 20 times! I guess the only people that would notice are the over 50 crowd, and Levis doesn't want our money anymore! Goodbye levis, am going to Carharts

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the same as the last 501 jeans I ordered 2 pair of 501 jeans about 6 months ago that had a lot heavier material than these last 2 pairs. Not even close to being as heavy duty. These last 2 pairs of the same jeans are much thinner material. Plus the new pairs have way more room in the rear than the last purchase. I could weight 10 LB heavier and still not fill them out. Also I had to hem them up an inch which I have never had to do. So I'm disappointed in this purchase in the quality of the 501 jeans I just received . Not close to being the same quality as the 2 pairs previously bought from them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from staple jeans of my life I have been wearing 501 jeans for the better part of 48 years. They have always been my go to jean. I will have to note though in recent years I've noticed some disconcerting changes I would like to see reversed. The bottom trim roll of the jeans in particular has shrunk as have the front pocket edge trim. Also when comparing to my older 501's they seem to be of a lesser weight denim. I have friends who wear levis that have noticed these changes and we all wish Levis would reconsider this. Also would really like to see them made in USA again as they should be. Still love them, but wish they'd go back to original denim weight and trim size.
