Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tippy Crock Pot After 25 years my crock pot died and we used it weekly during the winter months. I bought this one and never had a chance to use it before I've decided to take it back. I found that it was tippy and worried that it would not travel well without falling over. The picture shows that is has 2 legs in the front when in fact those are not the legs. There are 2 silver pipe like legs underneath that where not centered well on the one I purchased. I've heard good things about Hamilton Beach but I could not recommend this crock pot if you have small kids, plan to travel with it, or use it on a regular basis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this slowcooker! I'm not much of a cook, but I know slowcookers are great. I read a number of reviews before buying this model. I agree with customers who gave it good reviews, because we've had nothing but great results. It's easy to use, cooks evenly, food is moist and tender, and I'd proudly serve a meal I prepared in this slowcooker to anyone. I also love that clean-up is a breeze with the removable, dishwasher-safe inside. My husband commented the only thing he wishes they would have put on it is a light to indicate when it's on so you could just glance at it from across the room to see. (The retractable cord someone else mentioned would also be nice.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from POOR Heating Element, inconsistent cooking This slow cooker is GARBAGE. I will be buying a different brand and do not recommend. I bought this as my Crockpot brand slow cooker broke after about 10 years. I guess you get what you pay for. I've had this Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker for 10 months now and it hasn't made a meal the way I expect it to be yet. Even on low it is too hot and dries out or BURNS your food during normal use. The first time I figured maybe it was me, no it is a consistent issue. Don't even attempt the high setting. Burning one side of the pot of my annual apple butter was the last straw. I'm done with this slow cooker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable, quality product I bought this slow cooker online and was worried about the quality and how evenly cooked my foods would be, given the low price. I decided to purchase anyway after reading reviews from confirmed users/purchasers, since most were happy with their purchase. Immediately upon opening the box, I noticed that the heating unit is very light in weight. This added to my concern about the quality and its cooking capabilities. The cooker looks nice and has a heavy cooking bowl/basin. When I cooked my first meal, I wasn't disappointed. It cooked evenly and as expected, without burning food or leaving cold pockets of uncooked food. Cooking time was accurate, taking (matching) the amount of time estimated to cook the meal I'd prepared. Overall, I'd definitely purchase the item, since it's light enough to move around without much effort, cooks evenly and as expected, and is priced very affordably.
