The implementation of K-link as our new writing system provided many hiccups in 2018. Several kinks have not been worked out yet and this delayed our schedule, the ability to meet deadlines and overall understanding of the new system. People were confused what their roles and tasks were in k-link, which in process, slowed down the QAE’s ability to meet deadlines. Vendors didn’t have all of the information/training they needed up-front to correctly fill out attributes, which made for a lot of back-and-forth between us. The k-link system is not super-efficient, having to toggle between the BCC and K-link, while also editing products in staging. I’m looking forward to working within 1 main system for writing and publishing in 2019.
