Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK, But not Great This coffee pot makes excellent coffee, but there are too many pieces. The grinder has 2 pieces to clean and the basket where the grinds go has 3 pieces to clean every day! The grinder works well and you can use regular ground coffee too; however, when you use regular grinds the grinder get condensation. Then it must be taken apart and dried before you try to grind beans the next time. Taking the grinder out is not an option as it doesn't work without it. If you are looking for something simple, don't buy this model.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Basket pops out during brewing We've had this coffee maker for a little over a year. I loved the sleek style, grinding feature, and the fact that it is Cuisinart. I thought Cuisinart made quality coffee makers. But, just like some of the previous reviews, our basket began popping out during the brewing cycle, which does not stop brewing. Instead, the unit keeps brewing coffee all over the counter and the floor if left unattended (like when using programming function). This one is going back to Cuisinart with a quality control recommendation for this issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Basket pops out unexpectedly and coffee spills Bought this because my husband likes to grab his coffee and go in the morning. We liked it was programmable and we were able to have freshly ground coffee. The clean up process on the grinder is much more involved than if you use a separate grinder and coffee pot. Also, it is wastes coffee because the steam from the coffee makes some of the grounds stay in the grinder. But, we were willing to deal with that for good coffee ready to go. But, the basket doesn't lock in place and the spring pops it out all the time resulting in coffee all over the floor. At least every three to five times we use it this happens. So, we can't use the programming feature because you have to stand there while the coffee brews to push the basket back in if it pops out. Great concept for a coffee maker, if they can get it to work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Dummy Friendly Four times now I have forgotten to place the lid on the basket where the coffee ground go. Instead of a beep warning, like the one it sounds if you forget to put the whole beans in, it just spills all over the counter. If there is an assembly warning light, they should utilize it for the entire assembly. Also, it has a pop-in style basket (which is quite flimsy), and twice now it has popped out during brewing. Another mess all over the counter. Hopefully I can return this coffee pot, otherwise, I will have to make a check list for my less-than-optimal-brain in the mornings.
