Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing cookbook, where size matters... I have several slow cookers, mostly Crockpots, of different sizes. Recipes have been from friends who brought delicious food to pot luck events. I also have picked up several different slow cooker cookbooks, but not one from Crockpot until now. In slow cookery, size is everything. Match the volume of the recipe to the size of the pot, filling at least half to three quarters full. This Crockpot recipe book never mentions what size pot to use for each recipe. Other cook books will note: small, medium or large pot, then in the intro will give what quart sizes are considered "small," "medium," or "large," and sometimes "round" or "oval." I think omitting size where size matters, is a big disservice. I'm discouraged from trying a recipe where there could be the possibility of transferring food contents from one pot to another, compounding time and clean-up, because I misjudged the size to use.
