Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fun, but not long lasting I had always seen this in the stores in the summer and wanted to buy. I finally bought it for the summer of 2010. It was great for less than 30min. then the inner tube came disconnected and the water started to fill the ball. I tried to reconnect the inner tube w/ success; however, that was short lived. it broke after maybe 5min. I would have returned it, but did not have receipt or box. DO NOT BUY...BUYER BEWARE LOOKS LIKE FUN BUT IT IS MORE HASSLE TO PUT UP W/

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big issue, simple resolution! We got this as a present for my son's second birthday. The kids had a blast with it. After trying to empty it I got online for some help and noticed several people had the same problem. I looked and looked for a resolution for days with no avail. I had even considered cutting the little pouch used to make the ball stationary if preferred as another on here had mentioned. I wanted to keep that as a last resort because once cut could not be used to serve that purpose again. I thought and thought and finally came up with a simple anwser. I noticed that water would drip out of the valve where the air should go. Problem was in order to get it out you have to sit there and squeeze it together for an endless amount of time. I don't think it is supposed to fill up like that because there is tubing inside the ball that leads to each sprinkler knob but I am assuming that they leak which causes the ball to fill up. Anyhow long story short, I put a plastic straw into the valve to keep it open and keep water flowing. As soon as most of the water was out and I was able to pick the ball up I could squeeze out the rest. I know that the air tends to come out as well but getting the water out easily is worth refilling it to me. After all the water is out I just blow it back up to let the inside dry completely and VOILA success! I know it sounds kind of crazy, but whatever works right?? I'm sure you could use different things to keep the valve open but the kids love to play with it and as long as this method keeps working for me than we are all happy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TO DRAIN: read this At first I found this impossible to drain. Then I wedged a nail into the small air opening (careful not to puncture), sat the ball on the edge of a step with the air opening down and the water ran right out. It probably emptied 1 gallon in 3-4 minutes. Afterword I pushed down on the ball and all the air deflated out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect sprinkler! I bought this sprinkler for my 15 month old daughter. After working at a daycare for 7 years and seeing a million different kinds of sprinklers get trashed on water days, I knew exactly which tried-and-true sprinkler I wanted and needed to purchase--the Little Tikes beach ball! I know from experience that kiddos love to sit on sprinklers which causes them to break and this one doesn't even provide that option. It's so cute and sprays so much water--my daughter LOVES it! She's played with it three times now and she gets excited the moment I pull it out of the garage. I noticed some people were saying its impossible to drain--they must've fixed that issue because I haven't had any problems with that. Just open the plug and the water comes right out. Thanks for another great toy, Little Tikes!
