Rated 3 out of 5 by from This is not a lava lamp We ordered this knowing it might not meet our needs, but we couldn't find any detailed descriptions explaining exactly what this product did. It turns out it is basically a plastic bottle with a plastic stand and a light bulb that can be used to do approximately 7 different bubbling science experiments. It appears the intent is that you follow the instructions for adding ingredients to the bottle, set it on the stand, turn on the light, and watch the chemical reactions. Once it has completed reacting, you empty out the bottle, clean everything up, and pack it away. This is not something that you would have permanently set up to "look cool" in a child's room. It seems a little expensive for what it is, but if you're looking for a fun way to do these particular science experiments, this might be just the thing for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Purchased this for my 10 year old son online. When I got home I was so disappointed on how cheaply made this is. It comes with 4 Alka-Seltzer type tabs to put in when you add water. Looks nothing like the photo and only “glows” with a black light. Would not recommend.
