Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful machine I was a bit apprehensive to use this new machine, so I started to cook boneless rib eye steaks. I love steak but hate grilling so when I go out to eat, I always order steak. But not anymore because having this sous vide machine I could eat steak everyday because it was so easy to use and the steaks came out so tender. I don't even have to watch the steaks the machine will turn off by itself. Next, I will attempt to cook salmon. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Product! Received this just in time to make my famous chili for our family reunion. I cooked the ground beef using the slow cooker feature. Then added the rest of my ingredients and left it slow cook till it was done. This product works awesome as a slow cooker and will be my new go to crock pot for feeding my large family for Sunday Dinners. Don't know if I will use it as a Sous Vide...don't really care for cooking that way. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Efficient machine. Sous Vide and Slow Cooker. This machine allows two forms of cooking. Good old slow cooking and the new Sous Vide form of cooking which is now getting to be so popular. Just completed some baby back ribs sous vide. Cooked for twelve hours and finished on a very hot grill, slathered with BBQ sauce and slightly charred. They were probably some of the best I've had. The unit held the temperature very well. I checked with my Therma pen several times. The lid completely stopped all evaporation, so you can cook long periods of time even overnight and not worry about refilling water bath. This cooker is fairly new to me and I'm really looking forward to slow cooking and especially the sous vide cooking. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What is a Sous Vide? So excited to receive my Sous Vide. I had read about the benefits of this healthy cooking style...a simple, no fail method to perfect meats. The first dish we prepared was Ahi Tuna. It came out very juicy & flavorful, compared to cooking over the grill. The only downside is the requirement that all meats must be vacuum sealed. I understand that's the definition of Sous Vide, but it requires plastic bags, and preferably a vacuum sealer (or additional work). Regardless, it was delicious! We haven't used it as a slow cooker, yet, but that's a great additional feature. Very functional, whatever your preference! AND...it was a breeze to clean, due to removable chamber.
