Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun while it lasted My boys, aged 12 and 14, were excited to try flying this cool toy. First, we had some user error, where they couldn't get the remote to work because someone had installed one of the batteries backwards. After we figured that out, we got it up in the air briefly before the battery on the ship died. We charged it overnight, and tried again the next day. When it promptly flew over the neighbor's fence, not responding to commands from the remote. Neighbors were on vacation, so we just got it back. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Captains log, stardate 41126.3...toy review The ship looks great and would make a great display item. The lights and the sounds were a huge hit with the kids. It was a difficult to control it at first, but after a while my son got the hang of it. Then it worked well for a few short flights, until the battery was quickly drained and one of the propellers stopped working Due to hair being wrapped around it. After some tedious work we were able to get the ship to fly again, only to have the battery die after a short 3 minute flight. Dispite the negatives the kids really enjoyed it and can't wait for it to charge so it can take flight again! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun and surprisingly easy First let me say that we were worried at how easy would be to fly. We opened box very easy directions. My son is the 11 years old and loves it! He was able to pick it up, we were able to put the batteries in and he was able to get started right away. The design makes it fun for my husband who is a huge Star Trek fan. We found that the battery life lasted pretty good. We were happy with how sturdy the toy is. There have been obviously a few crashes but everything seems to be fine. Rated 4 out of 5 by from My son had a blast! At first when the box arrived, I wanted to leave it on its display stand to impress friends. The model was realistic with great details and I didn't want my son to crash it. But with lots of begging, I relented. My son loved flying it, even though it wasn't easy to get the hang of flying it. Eventually, he was able to hover and balance the ship and flew it without triggering the "red alert" every few seconds. Bottom line is that it's a blast to fly it, though it took some time to learn how to fly it. Also I would recommend the toy for kids about 10 and up. For kids younger than that would probably frustrate them too much. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
